Beacon College was the first college in the country accredited to award bachelor degrees exclusively to students with learning disabilities, ADHD and other learning differences. The College is committed to student success, offering academic and personal support services that help each student achieve his or her goals.
Learning is a human process that can not be separated from emotion. We understand that when a child struggles with some aspect of learning, it inevitably impacts their emotions and behaviors. We also understand that as a child's emotional wellbeing improves, so does their capacity to learn. For this reason, we do not define kids by their diagnoses, labels or previous school experiences.
We serve students with diverse learning and social-emotional needs. This includes, but is not limited to, students with diagnosed learning disabilities, processing or attention difficulties, anxiety, and social-emotional differences.
